Community To Again Join for Keep Lexington Beautiful

2015-02-14
In 2014, more than 2,300 Lexington neighbors participated in over 50 Keep Lexington Beautiful (KLB) cleanup events, contributing more than 4,700 volunteer hours. We again want to focus on mobilizing volunteers to participate in making Lexington beautiful. We are encouraging neighborhood organizations, churches, schools, businesses and individuals to adopt nearby parks, roads or greenways for cleanups, as well as any streams that are in their areas. The KLB can provide cleanup supplies such as bags and gloves free of charge. We also have available for check-out a leaf blower and trimmer donated by Troy -Bilt, as well as shovels, rakes and buckets.

KLB looks forward to working with you and all neighborhood groups as we work together to make this Great American Cleanup the best. If you are interested in participating in this year’s event, mark your calendar for Wednesday, February 25th for the next planning meeting, which will be held in the 3rd floor conference room of the Phoenix Building, 101 East Vine Street. Free parking is available in the Phoenix parking lot at that time. Call Louise Caldwell-Edmonds at (859) 425-2800 or e-mail info@KeepLexingtonBeautiful if you have any questions.
